SGI

I recently had to replace the SCSI cable on my SGI Fuel and also had to wipe and re-install IRIX. Since I no longer have any media. I had set up my Linux box as a bootp/tftp server. I’ll spare the details as there are other tools that automate this whole process now. But I’m old school. Just wanted to show some pictures of my old SGI equipment. I love these boxes and I cut my teeth on IRIX so they will always hold a special place in my heart.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1.  Select Option 1 below to run the installation script and continue with
    the Maya installation.

2.  At the 'inst>' prompt:

    To install the default Maya software:
    - type 'go' to finish the Maya installation

    To also install non-default Maya software:
    - type 'step' and select/de-select any additional software that you want
    - type 'go' to finish the Maya installation

Do you wish to run the optional installation startup script?

2. Ignore the startup script
